Bio

Angelo Oliboni, 77, of 213 S. Vine St., Harrisburg died at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 1999 at his residence. He was born Dec. 20, 1921 in Raleigh Township to Giuseppe "Joe" and Adele (Molinarolo) Oliboni. On Nov. 29, 1945, he married the former Imogene Reed at St. Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg. She survives and will continue to reside in Harrisburg. Also surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law, Myra and Les Feuquay; Marsha and Greg Eubanks, Mendy and Jerry Hansen; Jill and Tom Pastore, Jan and Mark Guard, and Ginger and Michael York of Harrisburg. Angelo was also blessed with 13 grandchildren: Angela and Derek Feuquay, Jacqueline Doussa, Ty Straube and Michael Eubanks, Erin and Mitchel Guard, Emily and Gia Pastore, and Kate, Hannah, Colin and Phillip York. He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Virgil and Betty Oliboni of Ocala, Fla. His parents, and a sister, Zita Pesavento, preceded him in death. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the American Legion. His restaurant, Angelo's, was a favorite gathering place for friends, family, students and civic groups for over 20 years. Most recently, Angelo greeted the community at Harrisburg Wal-Mart for nine years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving his country for four years during World War II. Miss Imogene Reed daughter of Mr and Mrs Arvel Reed, 129 South Jackson street, and Angelo Oliboni, son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Oliboni Harrisburg Route 4, were married Thursday, Nov 29, at 9 am with a nuptial mass at St Mary's Catholic Church. The bride who was given in marriage by her father wore a white gabardine dress with brown accessories and wore a corsage of orchids. She was attended by Miss Rita Molinarolo and the bridegroom was attended by John Molinarolo aunt and uncle of the bridegroom. Miss Molinarolo wore and aqua dress and a corsage of American Beauty rosebuds. Her accessories were black. The Rev. Fr George P. Lally performed the marriage ceremony. Mrs. Gladys Lockwood organist played for the hymns by the choir and played the accompaniment for the solo Because sung by Miss Wilma Rudge. Following the wedding ceremony which was attended by numerous relatives and friends of the couple there was a reception at the home of the bride's parents 129 South Jackson street, where Mr. and Mrs. Oliboni cut the wedding cake before they left on their wedding trip. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Frank Poole, Pontiac, Mich., uncle and aunt of the bride and her sister Mrs. James R Robinett, Evansville, Ind. Mr. Oliboni, who was employed in the engineering department by the Sahara Coal Co. in civilian life served as a Pharmacist 3c in the US Navy, being stationed on Eniwetok island for the past two years. Both he and his bride are Harrisburg Township high school graduates who are very well known in this city. His enlistment in the Navy will not terminate until Jan 1, 1946.
