Violet Mae R. Milnes passed away one year ago on March 15, 2011, at the age of 87. On behalf of everyone who knew her and loved her, we pray for her and trust in the hereafter. Violet Mae was born in Kansas City, Mo., on March 26, 1923. Her parents, Ralph and Melissa Throckmorten, raised her in Torrington, Wyo., where she graduated high school, then married Everett W. (Olie) Milnes after his return from World War II in 1943. Violet Mae was an extremely faithful wife and mother of two children, Ronald and Wayne Milnes, whom both survive her, as well as her grandchildren, Derek and Monica Milnes. For her family and friends, she was always there to help in any way she could, extremely stoic and proud, she worked without complaint until the time of her death. Violet Mae is missed, especially by her son Wayne who stayed by her side during the final weeks of her "blessed life" on this earth. She will forever remain in our memories and our hearts.
