He lived on that same farm until 1 1/2 years after his marriage, except for a brief time in Ord and a brief time in Sumter during that time. This couple lived in Kimball, NE. Scott died of heart failure. His funeral was in the First Presbyterian Church in Kimball. Scott was for many years a street commissioner in Kimball and for many years was the supervisor of the Kimball city ice skating pond at 7th and Walnut streets. He took care of the pond on winter evenings for many years without pay. After 15 years of employment by the city as a street commissioner he took semi-retirement about a year before death. He semi-retired because of declining health. He was an Elder in the Presbyterian Church for 40 years, and was the Treasurer of the Presbyterian Sunday School for several years. He was active in the Knights of Pythias for 26 years. He was a member of the Board of Regents of the Kimball County High School for 10 years. The White family moved from Ord, NE in 1921 to Kimball, NE where they lived for the rest of Scott and Helen's lives.
