James Earl "Butch" Snider, 68, of Center, passed away March 13, 2012 in Nacogdoches. He was born February 8, 1944 to Jessie Snider and Verna Lou Moore Snider. Mr. Snider worked as a fuel mechanic at Texas Utility Mining Company, where he retired after thirty-six years of service. He was a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church in Center. Butch loved fishing, hunting and motorcycle riding with his friends, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Pat Windham, Bro. Gordon Vaughn and Bro. Chris Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Short Cemetery in Center. Pallbearers will be John Yarborough, Shane West, Joe Steed, Artie Crow, Johnny Magby, Bob Collier, James Hagler and Travis Brittain. Honorary pallbearers will be Scooter Johnson, Jackie Cannon, Calvin Cannon, John Barbee, Ricky Barbee and Archie Barbee, Jr. He is survived by: Wife: Vicky Barbee Snider of Center Sons: Jeremy Snider and wife, Ashley of Tenaha Jimmy Snider and wife, Debby of Tenaha Allen Snider and wife, Frances of Elysian Fields Mother: Verna Lou Moore Snider of Center Grandchildren: Levi, Josh, Chris and Melissa Snider Emily Dickinson Great Grandchildren: Jesse, Judson and AndieLeigh Snider Rylan and Ryden Dickinson Madelynn Williams Sisters: Sandra Harvey and husband, Mark of Center Norma Moore of Signo Brothers: Billy M.
