CLYDE W. KASSNER, 61, of Duncan, Okla., passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2012, in Oklahoma City, Okla. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 15, in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Clyde was born June 25, 1950, at Alice, Texas, to Benjamin A. and Helen (Pinkert) Kassner. He married Bonnie Johanningmeier on June 28, 1975, at The Grove, Texas. He was employed by Halliburton Services for 36 years in the Special Services Department. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict, and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Clyde is survived by his wife, Bonnie of the home; three children, Sandy Kassner of Flint, Texas, Brad Kassner of Williston, N.D., and Kira Kassner of Oklahoma City; one brother, Dennis Kassner and wife JoAnn of Laurel, Md.; and one sister, Jonell Peppin and husband Paul of Marquette, Mich. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Patty Hawkins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution can be sent the American Cancer Society.
