Willie Jackson Pope Swinney Switch William Jackson Pope, 88, of Swinney Switch, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1998. He was born Aug. 4, 1910 in Georgetown to the late Riley and Della Pope. He was a truck driver and a Baptist. Survivors: Wife Buelah Parker Pope; Daughters, Barbara McKinney of Taft, Betty Dutcher of Belton and Margie Couch of Salado; Sister, Icy Whitley of Georgetown; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by sons; James Willie Pope, Gerald Lee Pope and David Wayne Pope; and brothers, Archie Pope, Floyd Pope and Arthur Pope. Visitation will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gabriels Funeral Chapel. Services will be a t 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, the Rev. Ray Waugh officiating.
