Bio

John D. Young was born on January 1, 1894, in Independence, Texas to Albert Leroy Young and Elizabeth Alice Vickers. He married Ruby Edna Branson on October 27, 1919, in Westbrook, Texas. They had one child during their marriage, Ruth S Young. He later married Lenna Janie Wortman Evans and became stepfather to Opal Frankie Evans, Paul James "Buck" Evans, Richard Louie Evans, Alline Janie Evans, Earl Franklin Evans and Helen Marie Evans. He died on February 3, 1970, in Austin, Texas, at the age of 76.
