Bio

Emma Louise Brown Whitby, age 86, passed away March 8, 2012 in American Fork. Born September 2, 1925 in Lehi, Utah to James A. and Ethel Austin Brown. She married John Calvin Whitby April 19, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away September 12, 2002. Louise was an avid reader and writer of poetry. She was an admired teacher and active in the LDS Church leadership. She loved to sing, games and camping. She is survived by Anna Manning, Laura (Nephi) Evans, Wesley Calvin (Shirley), Quint (Terry), 25 Grandchildren, 54 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 7 siblings. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, American Fork. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial in Alpine Cemetery. Online memories and condolences may be shared at andersonmortuary.com.
