Services for Richard C. Patschke, 76, of Rockdale were held Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, in Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale. Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale with Rev. Jan Campbell officiating. Mr. Patschke died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 in Manor Oaks Nursing Center in Rockdale. He was born Nov. 28, 1934, in Lexington to Walter and Emily (Kasper) Patschke. He married Jeanette Reuther on Sept 14, 1957, in Giddings. They were Rockdale residents for the past 52 years. Mr. Patschke worked as an auxiliary operator and foreman with Texas Utilities (formerly I.G.C.), retiring in 1989 after 34 years. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale, member and past-president of IBEW, and was a U. S. Army veteran, serving from December 1957 to December 1959. Mr. Patschke enjoyed playing dominoes and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Blake Burrough, on Nov. 12, 1988. Survivors are his wife, two daughters, two sisters, five grandchildren, and two greatgrandchildren. Rockdale Reporter 9/29/2011
