Herald Coaster, December 9, 1997: Funeral services for Richard "Dick" Grigar, 80, of Wallis, will be held Wed., Dec. 10, 1997, at 10 a.m. at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis, with the Rev. Don Schwarting officiating. Entombment will follow at Guardian Angel Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Tues., Dec. 9, 1997, at Knesek and Sons Funeral Home in Wallis. Mr. Grigar was born Dec. 17, 1916 in Wallis, and passed away Dec. 8, 1997 in Sealy. He owned and operated Dick's Food Market in Wallis for 26 years. He was a member of the Wallis Knights of Columbus, third and fourth degree; American Legion Post 200; KJT #16. Mr. Grigar is survived by his wife of 59 years, June Sager Grigar, of Wallis; sons, Richard Wayne Grigar of Cat Springs, Glenn Grigar of Sealy, and James Grigar of Lake Jackson; one brother, Rudy Grigar of Pettis; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
