Funeral services for Frances Isabella Martisek, 77, of Wallis, were held Wednesday, March 22, 2006, from Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis, with the Rev. Richard Johnston, S.C.J., celebrating the funeral mass and rite of committal. She died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Memorial Herman Southwest Hospital in Houston. Interment was at Guardian Angel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Alvin Konvicka, Jr., David Konvicka, Steven Konvicka, Oscar Lester Jr., Leo Marek and Jody Brazda. Honorary pallbearers were Gary E. Hope, Jr., Dan Harvey Martisek, Jr., Edward L. Teague, Jr., Sean Olsen, Dwayne G. Sabrsula, Drake Allen Rios, Devin K. Gonzales, and Kayden R. Sabrsula. Frances Isabella Martisek was born February 26, 1929 in Brenham. Frances was the fourth child out of six children born to Steve and Pearl Baranowski, Rosie Reisner (deceased), Agnes Konvicka, Ignac Baranowski (deceased), Frank Baranowski (deceased) and B.B. Ann Marek. Frances was united in marriage to Daniel Martisek, March 4, 1946. They had three children -- Kathryn Jean Brooks and husband, Lee, Dan Harvey Martisek and wife, Sharon, and Dianna Lynn Schumacher and husband, Donald; ten grandchildren, Terry Ann Olsen and husband, Sean, Gary E. Hope Jr and wife, Carrie, Leann R. Martisek, Harvest Lenee Teague, Shauna Lynn Teague, Lisa Marie Hosonback, Dan Harvey Martisek Jr., Edward Teague Jr. and Bethany and Mandy Schumacher; five great-grandchildren, Veneise Lenee Sabrsula, Dwayne G. Sabrsula, Drake Allen Rios, Devin K. Gonzales, and Reagan M. Korenek; and one great- great-grandchild, Kayden R. Sabrsula. Frances and Daniel were united in marriage for 54 years, until the time of his death. Frances was a wife, mother, grandmother, and was also employed with Sealy Medical Hospital as a dietitian for many years. She enjoyed going to church, bingo, baking bread, cooking and taking care of her house plants and her two dogs. She was a member of KJZT and Guardian Angel Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Martisek; parents, Steve and Pearl Baranowski; brothers, Ignac and Frank Baranowski; and sister, Rosie Reisner.
