Bio

When John E Goodson was born on August 18, 1786, in Darlington, South Carolina, his father, Thomas Goodson, was 24 and his mother, Sarah Ann Jenkins, was 26. He married Mary Elizabeth "Polly" Adams in 1802 in Darlington, South Carolina. They had seven children in 16 years. Their children were: Burgess W. Goodson, Gilead Azar Goodson, Mary Ann Elizabeth Goodson, Eveline L. Goodson, Martha Jane Rebecca Goodson, Sarah Ann Margaret Goodson, and John W. Goodson. He died on October 7, 1857, in Bienville, Louisiana, at the age of 71, and was buried in Bienville, Louisiana.
