Bio
Jo Ann Swain, age 77 of Venus, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Plano Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 6th at Morehart Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Dennis Hall officiating. Interment will be at 4 p.m. in the Paducah Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held Monday evening, from 6 p.m. To 7 p.m., at Morehart Mortuary. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday, March 4th at First Baptist Church in Alvarado. Jo Ann Ellis was born October 19, 1934 in Okalla, Texas to parents Henry Clyde Chester Ellis and Ilva Carpenter Ellis. She graduated from Paducah High School and worked as a bank clerk manager for First American Bank for 27 years. She lived in Paducah until 1969 when she moved to Breckenridge. Jo Ann was a member of New Life Restoration Church and also donated her time to the Stephens Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents. Jo Ann is survived by her two daughters, Kellye Renee Guinn and Lisa G. Richardson; one brother, Jerry Michael Ellis; one sister, Rose Marie Jeter; three grandsons, Timothy Keith Guinn, Taylor Richardson, Wyatt Dylan Richardson; two granddaughters, Kayli Richardson, Ella Grace Richardson.
