Dorothy Lambrecht, 82, of Schuyler, died Sunday, February 26, 2012, at the Homestead Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln. Funeral serviced will be at St. John's Lutheran Church, in Schuyler with Rev. Ruth Boettcher officiating. Committal will be in the Schuyler Cemetery. Dorothy was born October 5, 1929, in Abie, Nebraska to Emil and Marcella(Svoboda) Johannes. After graduating from high school she attended business college for one year. On October 27, 1949, she married James R. Lambrecht at the First Presbyterian Church in Schuyler. They lived in Schuyler and Dorothy worked for Otradovsky and Bieber Law Offices. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Women of the ELCA, Member and Past President of Schuyler VFW Auxiliary #4836, Past District Secretary VFW District #15, and Color Bearer and Banner Bearer, VFW Department of Nebraska. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Debra Lambrecht of Lincoln, sister-in-law Marcella Johannes and friend Donna Kunkle of Schuyler, nephew Fred(Jo) Lambrecht of Lincoln, great-niece Ruth(Jon) Tewes and children Jack and Maddy, of Lincoln and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband James and brother, Richard Johannes. Arrangements by Kracl Funeral Chapel of Schuyler.
