Bio

Ray was the son of E H Stracenes and Lula Mae Broadway. According to the 1940 US Federal Census, the family lived in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. An older sister, Evelyn, also lived in the home. He enlisted in the United States Army May 21, 1953 and served during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged May 18, 1956
