Waco Tribune Herald January 26, 1920 The funeral of Mrs. Dora Stephens Kendrick of Hamlin, who died Friday night at 8:30 o'clock in a sanitarium in Fort Worth, will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence of E. T. Genheimer at 2006 North Seventh street, and interment will be made in Oakwood cemetery, Rev. R. G. Bowers, pastor of the Columbus Street Baptist church, officiating. The active pall bearers are: J. H. Thomas, of Speegleville; Joe Mote, of Lorena; P. H. Stanford, T. O. Maxwell, C. B. Connally and O.M. Weatherby, all of Waco. The honorary pall bearers are: John Ed Day, W. T. Cook, and Earl Isbell, all of Hamlin; C. D. Wright, of Moody; W. H. Stanton, of Waco, and G.E. McCelvey, of Temple. Mrs. Kendrick, who was 35 years old, is survived by her husband, Herbert V. Kendrick, nine children, six brothers, six sisters, and her father and mother. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. William John Thomas Stephens (Clifford Cordelia) of Rotan, and her brothers and sisters are: John Henry, Clayton, Chester Early, Danial Gov., Clifford Stephens, all of Royston; and Calvin Luther Stephens of Moody; Mrs. G.T. Rector(La Vada) and Mrs. Samuel Davis (Mamie) of Rotan; Mrs. Calvin G. Branham (Viola), Mrs. John Naler Connally (Minnie), Mrs. William Henry Dowell (Mary Elizabeth) and Mrs. Olis Cifford Diddle (Susie Adell) all of Moody. Her Children: Maybelle 1905-1979, Kenneth 1908-1995, Leola 1910-1940, Curtis 1911-2000, Margarete 1913-1976, Maredith B. 1914-1997, Donald 1916-2004, Jack Harrison 1917-1931, Janyce 1919-2003. Have not found location of the graves of Donald & Janyce as of 5/26/2020.
