Mary Georgia (Krajca) Novak, Pinkert died on Friday May 13, 2011 at Cottonwood Nursing Home of Denton. She was born on August 9, 1929 on the Alois Holy farm near, Ennis Texas, the daughter of Jerry and Mary (Holy) Krajca. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe L. Novak and second husband Leonard F. Pinkert. Mary started Abeneezer School near Boyce Texas in 1935, transferred to St. John School in Ennis where she graduated in 1946. She attended Elliot Business School in Dallas and took her first job at Dun and Bradstreet in the Mercantile Building, Dallas. Mary also worked for A. Gunthard Company in Ennis Texas. On April 23, 1949, she married Joe L. Novak of Ennis at St. John Catholic Church. They made their home in Ennis Texas. They were self employed in farming, convenience store, fast-food, and real estate businesses. Mary took care of all the bookkeeping. After Joe's death in 1985, Mary married Leonard F. Pinkert of Ennis on June 16, 1990. Mary was a life long member of St. John Catholic Church where she served in the Altar Society, Mother's Club, and Girl Scouts of America. She was a member of the KJZT #16 for 73 years and served as treasurer and secretary for many years. Ennis was always home to Mary, but she loved to travel with her parents, children, and both Joe and Leonard. She toured the U.S. and several European countries. She will be remembered as an avid genealogist and a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. We find comfort in knowing "Mimi" is in Heaven and at peace. We will all be reunited again with her in the future and while we wait for that moment, we will continue our purpose on this earth knowing that what she would want and has taught us. Mary is survived by her son, Dr Jim Novak and his wife, Lynda of Dallas; daughter, Marita and her husband, Alan Barak of Ennis; son, Ken Novak and Nancy Thorne and her children Michael and Timothy Thorne of the Colony. Grandchildren; Mary Elizabeth (Meribeth) Banaschik and her husband Benedikt of Neuss Germany, Christopher James Novak (C.J.) of Dallas, Joseph James Novak (J.J.) and his wife Denee, with their daughterMolly Sue Novak of Lewisville; Jamie Lyn Novak of Dallas, Randy Barak and his wife Tasha of Palmer, Michelle Barak of Ennis, Rachel Zmolik and her husband Ryan of Ennis. Mary's sister, Jeri (Krajca) Kopecky and her husband Richard Sr. of Dallas, and their children, Richard Kopecky Jr. and his wife Courtney with their children Ricky and Carter of Arlington, Aaron Kopecky and his wife Katalin of Alaska, Kelli Duffy and her husband Justin and their children Jackson and Julia of Dallas, Nathan Kopecky and his wife Christine of Dallas. Mary's Aunt, Estelle Spaniel of Dallas, and Mary's Sister-In-Law's, Ella Schwindt of Ennis, and her son Henry Schwindt and his wife Liz of Ennis, and Emma Rean Pinkert of Temple Texas. Mary's Nephews, Leonard, Michael, and Robert Novak and their spouses. And several great neices and nephews. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. John Catholic Church of Ennis. Pallbearers will be Randy Barak, C.J. Novak, J.J. Novak, Henry Schwindt, Richard Kopecky Jr., and Nathan Kopecky. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery of Ennis under the direction of J.E.
