Bio

Leona Marie Burnett "Marie" of Houston, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Marie was born in Hebron, Texas to James Henry Lloyd and Clara Belle Harper. They both precede her in death. Marie married Burl Morris Burnett in 1950. He also precedes her in death, along with her sister and brother. She is survived by one son, Richard Craig Burnett, and his wife Sammi; one grandson, Richard Brian Burnett; and one granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Burnett. Marie retired from Neiman Marcus. She loved her job and all the ladies she worked with at Neiman's. She loved burnt toast and peanut butter. And , she loved Teddy, her Pomeranian who preceded her in death. She was a great cook, and I loved to visit her and my Uncle Burl. She will be missed every day.
