Jo Ann Watson Simpson, age 77.of Crossett, AR passed away February 7, 2012. She was born February 7, 1935 in Minden, LA to her parents, Joe Elijah and Pearlie Jewel Nickolson Watson. Mrs. Simpson was an aide coordinator for Ashley Memorial Home Health and a member of Meridian Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Jack Cummings; a brother, Lavell Watson and a sister, Lucille Culbreatson. Survivors include two sons; John Travis Cummings (Carolyn) of Burkeville, TX; Terry Lynn Cummings of Nacogdoches, TX; one daughter; Ann White (James) of Crossett, AR; one brother; Eugene Watson of Crossett, AR; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday February 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Meridian Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow at Lick Prairie Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR. (www.jonesservice.com) Visitation will be Thursday February 9, 2012 from 5p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
