Mrs. Margie F. Melin, 65, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004 at her home in Rosser. She was born March 19, 1939 in Kaufman, the daughter of William and Nanny Stewart Reynolds. She was reared in Garland and Waxahachie where she attended school. On Jan. 21, 1956 she was married to Ike J. Melin of Howard. After their marriage they lived in Avalon for 12 years, later moving to Avalon. In 1992 they moved to Rosser. Mr. Melin preceded her in death on May 11, 2001. She is survived by 2 sons, David Joe Melin of Red Oak and Ike Joe Melin, Jr of Waxahachie; 3 daughters, Brenda Jennings of Rankin, Betty Burkes of Rosser and Linda Darden of Avalon; a brother, Robert Reynolds of Waxahachie; a sister, Mary Davis of Hico; 13 grand-children and 8 great grand-children. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nanny Reynolds, a son, Charles Melin in 1962 and a sister, Bettie Morris. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Myrtle Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Mansell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 am to noon Monday. J.E.
