Ft Worth Star-Telegram -dtd Mon, 9 Jun 2003 Kenneth Gene Barfield (1929-2003) Kenneth Gene Barfield, 73, a loving husband, dad and "pawpaw", passed away Saturday, June 7, 2003, at his home in Haltom City. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Visitation: 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Memorials: Integracare Home Health Inc., 315 Harwood Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76021. Kenneth was born June 12, 1929 in Bell County, Texas. He grew up in Waco, then moved to Fort Worth in 1961. He retired in 1985 after working 32 years as a repairman for General Motors. After retirement he continued to enjoy mechanic work by rebuilding and fixing cars for family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Aubra and Louise Barfield and brothers, Harold and Billy Barfield.
