Greenville (Texas) Herald Banner, Fri, 22 Jan 1988, page A2, Deaths, Loon Press BLUE RIDGE - Leon Press, 71, of Dallas, a former superintendent of the Blue Ridge Independent School District, died Monday at his home. Graveside funeral services will be at 11 am, today at the Blue Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Earnest Wall officiating. Born Feb. 7, 1916, in Blue Ridge, he was the son of Arthur and Jewel Johnson Press. A World War II Army veteran, Mr. Press was a retired supervisor for Ben Franklin Associates and a Methodist. Surviving are a sister, Linna Mai Wright of Commerce; two nieces; and two nephews. Fielder-Baker Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
