Bio
Anna M. "Sis" Poole, 75, of New Berlin, passed away at 7:11 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Anna was born October 29, 1936 in Pleasant Plains, the daughter of Bill and Mae Lewis Cumby. She married William L. Poole in 1953. He preceded her in death in 2003. Anna was employed by Kent's IGA and the Avenue Food Shop. She went on to work for Illinois National Bank and retired after over twenty years of service in 2005. She enjoyed walking, sun-bathing, shopping and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Brad Poole; brothers, Bill and Dick Cumby; and sister, Virginia Cumby. Anna is survived by her children, William E. (wife, Carol) Poole of New Berlin, Brenda (husband, Mark) Witt of New Berlin, Scott Poole of New Berlin, and Lisa (companion, Darrell Park) Luckey of Loami; six grandchildren, Lindsey Witt, Sarah Luckey, Kristi Poole, Jake Luckey, Dan Poole, and Nick Luckey; six great-grandchildren; an aunt and uncle; several nieces, nephews, cousins; sister-in-law, Doris Clark of New Berlin; special friend, Mary Smith of New Berlin and dear friend, Keith Traylor of Springfield. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin. Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Warren Brosi, officiating. Burial will follow at Woodwreath Cemetery in Island Grove Township.
