Bio
Vera Frances Rozsypal, 83, of La Salle, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 17, 2012. Frances, "Babe" was born on January 30, 1929, in Rosenberg, TX, to the late R.J. and Lottie Stepan. She married Victor Paul Rozsypal on November 14, 1951 and they shared forty-eight years of marriage before he passed away. Frances enjoyed raising her two sons, Michael and Paul and spending time with her grandchildren. Frances was very active in the La Salle, TX, community and enjoyed her volunteer work at St. Theresa's Catholic Church. She had a love for fishing, dominoes, and poetry. Frances is survived by her sons, Michael Rozsypal of San Antonio and Paul Rozsypal and wife Ellen of Victoria, six grandchildren, and one great-grandson. A public visitation/rosary will be held Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 from 5 - 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Slavik Funeral Home, 209 N. Allen St. Edna. Funeral services, will be Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in La Salle at 1:00 p.m. with Fa. Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the St. Theresa Cemetery. Pallbearers are her six grandchildren; Joshua Rozsypal, Rebecca Rozsypal, Kimberly Jones, Niki Rozsypal, Jacob Rozsypal, and Victoria Rozsypal. Honorary pallbearers are: Mr. and Mrs. Francis Blanchard, Ramona Nava, Mr. and Mrs. Roger McDonald, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Bonnelli, Ben Schrader, Martha Sembera, and Pat Venglar.
