Bill was the son of Arthur Newton Emmert and husband of Nila Mae Kindler; father of Larry and Tim. **************************** Clippings: Mar 18, 1954....................Ben F. Brooks, who is celebrating his 11th year in the grocery business, ..........Gordon Payne, Produce Dept; Bill Emmert, Meat Dept; Harry Walters, Groc. Dept. Brooks Super Market originated in 1934 with the purchase of the Farmers Store from J.H. "Bert" Jack which was then located in the Holland Building on Main St. now occupied by Humburg's Inc. The present market was purchased from Ed Mohl in 1948 and is located at the corner of 8th and Fossil St. **************************** Radioman 2nd Class Billy Emmert served in the US Navy from 7 October 1944 through 17 August 1946 (Added by contributor #46596952)
