Bio

Raymon Joseph Kaper died Wednesday at Converse County Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was the son of Jacob and Mary Kaper. At the age of nine he moved with his family to Hemmingford, Nebraska where on May 7, 1912, he married Sadie Mary Lashley. Moving to Wyoming in 1926, the couple made their home in Converse and Niobrara Counties. In 1940, they moved to Orin, where he resided at the time of his death. Survivors include his wife, four sons: Carl of Casper, Burt of Manville, Joe and Bernard, both of Orin; and two daughters, Mrs. Nettie Stauffenburg of Douglas and Mrs. Mildred Mundachenk of Elk Mountain. Also surviving are two brothers, James and Leo Kaper; and three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Mann, Mrs. Mary Richerdson and Mrs. Pauline Chapmin, 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, two daughters, Bertha Mary Kaper and Leila Bernice Fifeld and two grandchildren preceded him in death. (Information was obtained from his obituary and cemetery records.)
