Bio
Funeral services for Herman Talton Rea, 80, were held June 2, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville, with the Rev. Calvin Goerdel officiating. Burial followed at the Rea Cemetery in Pottsville. Herman Rae was born Aug. 24, 1929, in Dallas, to Herman Paul Rae and Julie Almedia Talton Rae. He passed away on May 2, 2010. Rea lived his entire life in Pottsville, in Hamilton County, on the family ranch. He farmed and raised sheep and cattle. He married his high school sweetheart, Clara Karasek, on April 21, 1949. They were married for 55 years. She died in 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Julie Rae. He is survived by his son, a daughter, five grandsons and one brother.
