Mrs. Helen F. Jurica, 88, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at the Claystone Healthcare Center in Ennis. She was born March 4, 1918 in the Creechville Community, the daughter of Louis and Annie Vlk Pekar. She was reared in the Ennis area, attending St. John school. On Dec. 27, 1937 she was married to John Lee Jurica. After their marriage they lived in Ennis. She was employed as a nurses aide and cook with the Ennis Care Center. She was a member of the St. John Catholic Church, KJZT and the Altar Society. She loved to cook and sew. She is survived by three sons and their wives, Bill and Mary Jurica of Tempe, AZ, Robert and Irene Jurica of Ennis and Richard Jurica of Rowlett; a daughter and her husband, Rose Marie and Adolph Novy of Ennis; two sisters, Annie Mach of Dallas and Elsie Anders of Crowley; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, John Lee Jurica, two brothers, Louis and Bill Pekar, her parents, Louis and Annie Pekar and a grandson, Kenneth Novy. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Keever Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St John Catholic Church with Rev. Edison Vela as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary. Serving as pallbearers will be David Novy, Bryan Novy, Stephen Novy, Scott Jurica, Rick Jurica, George Anders, Bill Mach, Jeremy Jurica and Chad Jurica. J.E. Keever Mortuary
