Iva Lee "Dot" Brewer, 75, of Oglesby, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at her home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday Feb. 18, at the First Baptist Church in Oglesby. Burial will be in Post Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at First Baptist Church in Oglesby. Iva was born in Bosque County, Texas, to the late Scott and Opal Polston. She grew up and attended school in McGregor. Dot loved to work and enjoyed her job at Brigadier Homes in Waco as well as her job at Ridgecrest Retirement Home where she worked for 15 years until her retirement in 2002. After her retirement, she enjoyed taking care of her family and working in her yard. She was preceded in death by brother, Joe "Mousie" Polston. Dot is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Brunson, of Oglesby; granddaughter, Lisa Harrell and husband, Grayson, of Oglesby; great-grandchildren, Tanner and Miranda Harrell, of Oglesby, Brandon Harrell, of Denton, and Caitlin Harrell, of The Colony; a great-great-grandchild, Rylie Gibson, also of The Colony; nephews, Pete Polston and wife, Pam, of Speegleville, and John Polston and wife, Donna, of Moody; and many other family members and friends.
