Havre Daily News (MT), July 21, 1994 Alice M. Lamey, 85, died July 19, 1994, at a Havre hospital of natural causes. She was a retired registered nurse and a resident of Chinook for the past four months. She had resided one and half years in Colorado Springs, Colo. She was a former resident of Havre. The Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Holland an Bonine Chapel in Havre, with Father Robert Grosch officiating. Mass was at 10 a.m. this morning at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Havre, Father Grosch officiating. Burial will be at The Calvary Cemetery. She was born April 9, 1909 in Greely, Neb., the daughter of William and Margaret (Kelly) Moran. She was raised and attended school in Greely. She graduated from the Greeley Catholic High School. She received her nursing diploma from St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island, Neb. On Aug. 20, 1936, she married John Lamey, and lived in Havre for a few years. They lived in Chinook from 1942-1960. The couple moved back to Havre in 1960. She was an office nurse for Dr. Robert Leeds for many years. She was a member of the Elks Club former member of St. Jude's altar Society and a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church since 1960. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband in 1990. She is survived by one son and daughter in-law, Dr. Dave and Emily Lamey of Everett, Wash. One daughter and son in-law, Marilyn and Jim Bonifer of Colorado Springs, Colo. Two sisters Margaret Cannon and Madeline Curyrn both of Greenly, Neb. Two brothers, Dick Moran of Portland, Ore. and James Moran of Omaha, Neb. Also nine grandchildren. Memorials in Mrs. Lamey's honor may be made to a person's choice. -- Parents: William Edward Moran and Margaret Elizabeth Kelly.
