Bio
Services for Frances Burton Haskins will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Frances Haskins was born May 22, 1915, and died February 8, 2012. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. preceding the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Scurry, TX at 2 p.m. She was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church. Before coming to Longview, she was a member of Laird Hill Baptist Church where she taught young people for thirty-three years. She then moved to Kilgore First Baptist Church where she taught an Adult Class, then took the Four Year Old Department. Later she became a member of the Peacemakers Sunday School Class. She was also Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in Kilgore. She owned and operated Lone Pine Grocery in Leverett's Chapel in the late 30's and early 40's. She then worked for Hartford Insurance for over 30 years. Survivors include one daughter, Dr. Margie Gregory and her husband, Don M. Gregory; three grandchildren: Paul Gregory and his wife Susan of Foothill Ranch, CA, Julia Gregory Seay and her husband Paul of Yukon, OK, and Mark Gregory and his wife Jeannie of Alamo, TX; four great grandchildren: Kyle Gregory, Carol and Kristen Seay, and Markus Gregory. She is also survived by her sister Eunice Nettles and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Haskins and her parents C.E. Burton and Margie Bowles Burton. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the loving, skillful care she has received at Buckner Westminster Place. Memorials may be made to Mobberly Baptist Church Building Fund, 625 E.
