WELL-KNOWN RESIDENTOF WASHINGTON, IOWA CALLED BY DEATH Wayland, Iowa. — A large congregation of relatives and friends attended funeral services for Elmer F. Bontrager, 66, at the Eicher Mennonite church near here on April 8. Mr. Bontrager, well-known Washington resident, passed away at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, on April 1. He had been in failing health for two years. After farming in the community for many years, he worked for eight years in the Washington post office. He is survived by his wife, Lena, one daughter and three sons.
