Rosenberg Herald, March 25, 1938: Tuesday, March 22, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louis Sims in Damon, occurred the death of Mrs. Louise Rosenbaum, aged 64 years. Mrs. Rosenbaum had been in ill health for the past several months, and her death was not unexpected, however, her passing is a shock to both her family and friends for she will be sadly missed in her home and community. Mrs. Rosenbaum was born May 6, 1873 at Industry, Austin County, Texas. She was married to William Rosenbaum in August 1905 at Welcome, Texas. Her husband preceded her in death a number of years ago. She had been a resident of Fort Bend County for a long period of time, and at the time of her death she was making her home with her only daughter, Mrs. Louis Sims, of Damon. She was a lovely Christian character, being a member of the Hope Lutheran Church, Beasley. Deceased is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Louis Sims of Damon; three sons, Ben Rosenbaum of Somerville, and Herbert and Preston Rosenbaum of Beasley; six step-sons, Otto, Louis, Charlie, Ed, Adolph, and Robert, all of Rosenberg; four grandchildren; three brothers, Rudolph and Arnold Bernshausen of New Ulm, Reinhart Bernshausen of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Konesbeck of Cat Springs and Mrs. Julius Ladwig of Columbus. Another sister, Mrs. Otto Rosenbaum, preceded her in death five years ago. Funeral services for Mrs. Rosenbaum were held Thursday afternoon, March 24, at 2 o'clock at the Hope Lutheran Church in Beasley. Rev. Hugo Probst, pastor, officiated in the presence of a host of relatives and friends. Interment took place in the Modena Cemetery. The Foerster Funeral Home of Rosenberg had charge of funeral arrangements. Sympathy deep and sincere is extended the bereaved.
