Bio

Evelyn Dillon Browder of Atlanta died after a long illness on June 12, 2006. The youngest of 4 children, she was born in Murfreesboro, TN on July 9, 1912. She married Joe B. Browder in 1932 and was a devoted wife until his death in 1989. She is survived by two daughters, Bev Almand, Winston Salem, NC, and Betty (Mrs. Rollin E.) Mallernee, Dawsonville, GA; 4 grandchildren, Gary Almand, Winston Salem, NC, Lynn Almand Zane, Macon, GA, Chris Almand, Sutherlin, VA, and Leigh Almand Cox, Winston Salem, NC; 5 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Also surviving are 4 nieces and one nephew. She was a true lady in the best sense of the word, treating everyone with kindness and respect. Perhaps her greatest gift to others was her willingness to listen. She will be greatly missed for she was greatly loved. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 17, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at The Sunrise Chapel at Arlington Memorial Park; 201 Mount Vernon Road, Sandy Springs.
