Lorene was the last born of 9 children to Robert Simpson Croft b.13 May 1848 in Cherokee Co., AL & d.6 Jun 1910 in Valliant, McCurtain Co., OK and Juliet Evelyn (Hendricks) Croft b.28 Feb 1850 in Pickens Co., SC & d.10 Apr 1920 in Kiowa-Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Co., OK and who were married on 19 Nov 1871 in Collin Co., TX. Lorene was married twice in her life. Marriage #1: Charles "Clyde" Roberts on 7 Jul 1910 in Latimer Co., OK. Charles Clyde Roberts was b.6 May 1883. He lists his birthdate many times as 6 Feb 1883, but this date is when his mother and father were married, so I believe he or his son Rex got them a bit mixed up. He died on 23 Oct 1965 in New London, Rusk County, TX. Charles was in the Oil Business. Lorene and Charles had two children together. They were: 1.
