THE ABILENE REPORTER NEWS SUNDAY, AUGUST 24, 1969 COLORADO CITY ** Mrs. B.C. "Lizzie" Whitaker, 77, died Saturday in Root Memorial hospital after a short illness. Funeral will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Kiker and Son Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Neil Rogers, Baptist minister from Fort Worth, officiating. Born April 18, 1892 in East Texas, she married B. C. Whitaker October 26, 1913, in Wills Point. They came to Colorado City in 1927, and Mr. Whitaker died in January, 1942. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, W. R. of Silver and W. A. of Big Spring; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Robison of Burleson and Mrs. Ed Morren of Colorado City; on sister, Mrs. Fate Cossett of Fort Worth; on brother, Albert Mislivits of East Texas; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
