COLORADO CITY RECORD THURSDAY, AUGUST 30, 2001 Mr. J.M. "Buster" Lewis, 91, of Loraine died Saturday, August 25, 2001 in a local hospital. Graveside services were Sunday in Colorado City Cemetery under direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home. Mr. Lewis was born to Gabe and Martha Lewis in El Reno, Oklahoma on March 14, 1910. He married Laura Banks November 15, 1941 in Snyder. He was a Mitchell County farmer and rancher since 1940. He was an active member of the Loraine Senior Citizens Center. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Laura Lewis of Colorado City; two sons, Laddie and wife Mary Alice Lewis of Colorado City and Quail and wife Judy Dobbs of Coahoma; one daughter, Brenda and husband Jerry Hammond of Burnet; five grandchildren, Jan Marcom of Midland, Holly Tarter of Shreveport, Louisiana, Renae Lewis Wunderlich and husband Cody of Snyder, Stephanie and Wayne Rotan of Forsan and Coley and Shawna Dobbs of Coahoma; one great-granddaughter, Misty Marcom of Midland; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; Roy Gabe Lewis, Melvin Lewis and Stanley Lewis.
