Steven Mark Pylant, 64, of Luling, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. He was born on February 13, 1947, in San Antonio, the son of William Joseph "Billie Joe" Pylant Sr. and Della Miller Pylant. He was an insurance adjustor. He is survived by his wife, Carol Pylant of Luling; daughters, Lisa Diane Smith and husband, Fred, of Tyler, and Stefanie Ann Hamilton and husband, Jerry, of Great Falls, Montana; son, Steven Mark Pylant Jr. and wife, Lori, of San Marcos; brothers, William Pylant and wife, Carolyn, of New Braunfels, and Don Pylant and wife, Leslie, of San Antonio; sister-in-law, Barbara Pounders of Trussville, Alabama. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2012, at the Central Baptist Church in Luling, with Dr. Fred Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the McNeil Cemetery.
