Bio
Agnes M Ziska, 76, wife of Fred Ziska, Sr, died Sept 8, 1957, after suffering a heart attack at her home in Atkinson. She was a resident of this community all but the first 6 months of her life. Burial was in St Joseph Cem. Agnes M Kramer, daughter of Anton Kramer and Mary Vallenta, was born Dec 24,1880 at Platte Center. In 1881, when she was 6 months old, the family moved to a farm southwest of Atkinson. She grew to womanhood in this community, and on Nov 26,1901 was married to Fred Ziska in Atkinson. 3 sons and 6 daughters were born to them. Mr and Mrs Ziska lived on a farm 6 miles west of Atkinson until 1952 when they moved to Atkinson. Mrs Ziska is survived by her husband Fred Sr, 3 sons, Joseph of Emmet, George of Boys Town, and Lawrence of Stuart, 5 daughters Theresa (Frank) Krysl of Stuart, Clara (Joseph ) Hamik of Atkinson, Gertrude (Alois) Kaup of Stuart, Margaret (George) Knievel of West Point, Leona (Leo) Meyers of Santa Monica, Calif, 34 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brother Anton Kramer in Florida She was preceded in death by daughter, Irene on April 21, 1930.
