Lillie M Gates was born Feb 15, 1919 in Marthaville, LA to James and Ocie Parks and died Dec 9, 2011 in Bossier City, LA. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Preceding her in death are her husband, Sam Gates; son, John Gates; two great grandchildren; her parents; three sisters and five brothers. She is survived by her daughters, Pauline McDonald and husband Ray of Haughton, LA, Edna Ponder of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Marshall "Bo" McDonald, Debbie Mosery, Karen McDonald, Cindy Bissell, Beverly Mann, Johnette Ryals, Sherry Vines, Candy Shadoin and Joy Ford; 15 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. Honoring Mrs Gates as pallbearers were Jason Mosery, Greg Mosery, Tommy Bissell, Aaron Loyd, Doug Ryals and Kenny Parks.
