Bio

FOX, RICHARD GLEN, 88, formerly of Salt Lake City, UT passed away February 3, 2012, at the Richwood Nursing Home, La Grange, KY. Richard was born May 31, 1923 in Lehi, UT, graduated from Lehi High School and immediately joined the service during World War II and served his country in the U.S. Naval Service. He supported his family by serving 33 years for the Salt Lake Board of Education and was a faithful servant throughout his life for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A man loved by most all who knew him and loved by those he worked for, he always loved children, was a terrific dad and loving and supporting husband. Richard is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Roy Fox and Annie Sophia Hutchings; brothers, Roy and Wayne Fox; and sisters, Winnona, Katherine and Beth. He is survived by his loving wife, Henderieka, of 61 years of marriage; his son, Brent R. Fox (Melinda); his daughter, Julie Kaye Pitkin (John); six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 4 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints, 6401 Westwind Way, Crestwood, KY. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Oldham County Funeral Home, 706 W. Jefferson St., La Grange, and one hour prior to the service 3-4 p.m. at the church on Wednesday. Burial, service and graveside dedication will take place at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 E. 10600 S., Sandy, UT on Saturday at 1 p.m. Published in The Courier-Journal on February 5, 2012.
