Raymond John Piwetz was born on 30 July 1891 in Fayetteville, Fayette County, Texas. He was the son of Josef F. Piwetz and Agnes Skalitsky Piwetz. He married Frances Henrietta Wiesner, the daughter of William Frank Wiesner and Mariana Baca Wiesner, on 28 October 1913 in Fayette County, Texas. They were the parents of 5 sons: Joseph Raymond, Jerome Adolph, Cyril Jacob, Arnold Edwin, and Victor Leo Piwetz. Raymond John Piwetz died on 14 January 1969 in El Campo, Wharton County, Texas. He was 77 years of age.
