Graveside services for Marvin Ellis, 87, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Monday in City of Lubbock Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy McKibben officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors of Lubbock. He died Thursday, March 1, 2001. He was born Aug. 19, 1913, in Bogota and married Jewell Wheeler on Oct. 20, 1983, in Lubbock. She died Sept 26, 1997. He had lived in Earth, Possum Kingdom and Lubbock and was a watchmaker at Anderson Brothers Jewelers for 27 years. Survivors include a daughter, Charlyne Richburg of Lubbock; two step-daughters, Jeanette McCarty of Alexander, La., and Theda Henniger of Lubbock; a brother, Leon Palmer of Shamrock; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
