ULA (DUNCKLEY) YOAST (Robert C. & Delia M.) This headstone (according to her obituary in the Steamboat Pilot) is incorrect. Her birth year being 1916. Mrs . Lester Yoast The funeral of Mrs . Lester Yoast . nee Ula Dunckley . too k place at the Hayden church Sunday afternoon , April 4 . Mrs . Yoast died in the Oak Creek hospital the Wednesday night before . Cause of death is reported to be cancer . Rev . Gale conducted the funeral services and Interment was made in the Hayden cemetery . The funeral was a very large one and the floral offerings were unusually numerous and beautiful . The deceased was born at the home of her parents Mr and Mrs Robert Dunckley . June 25 . 1916 . and received her education at the Dunkley school and the Hayden schools . Her school record was excellent and her extra-curricular interests were well up with her scholastic record . Graduated from the Hayden Union high school in 1934 Ula was an honor student , being valedictorian of her class , and won a scholarship at the state schools . She look a partlcular interest in music and was one of the well known girls' trio in the high school and she took part in the various grade and high school operettas Ula with her beauty of face and form and with her winsome manners was an outstanding young lady in school and in the community . She was married to Lester Yoast in 1936 .
