Bio

The Columbus Telegram , September 25, 1903, p. 8, col. 2 Death came very unexpectedly to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Micek at four o'clock yesterday morning. Their little boy, Joseph, aged four years, had complained of a sore throat five days before. A physician was called and pronounced the trouble tonsilitis. The parents thought the boy was improving, and did not again call the doctor. Yesterday morning the brave little fellow got out of bed, walked about the room, asked his mother for a drink of water, then lay down upon his bed and immediately expired. Such a death must be cruelly sad to the parents of the little boy, to whom all manner of sympathy is justly due. Funeral services were conducted this morning in St. Bonaventura church. '''''''''''' The Columbus Journal , September 30, 1903, p. 3, col. 2 The four-year-old son of Barney Micek died last Thursday morning of tonsilitis. The funeral took place Friday. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.
