Obituary - The Alton, Iowa Democrat - June 21, 1951 Dick Tiemersma Dick Tiemersma, 67, died in the Grossman Hospital Thurday at 4:30 o'clock in the afternoon. He suffered a stroke a month ago and a second stroke last week Tuesday. The departed was born in the Netherlands and came to this country when a youth. He was married to Anna Vander Kooi, 31 years ago and to them was born one daughter, Margaret. His widow and daughter survive. Also one sister and one brother in the Nethatlands. Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the home of the deceased and at the First Christian Reformed church with Rev. R. Bronkems officiating. Interment was made in the O.C. cemetery.
