Bio

GAR CO. K 69TH OHIO INF. Mr. Brown settled in the Cedar Rapids, Nebraska area in 1876. Contributor: Nebord (4886444) The Co. K, 69th OVI roster and Roll of Honor say he enrolled on 7 March 1862. Was appointed Sgt. from Cpl. on 16 June 1863. Mustered out at end of service on 16 March 1865 at Fayetteville NC. And "Perished in the burning of the "General Lyon" near Cape Hatteras NC. on 31 March 1865." Obviously, he survived. Contributor: Ruth Tobias (47126653)
