Bio

Daughter of Walter and Mary (Goodale) Smith. Educated in Lincoln NE and received a degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1928. She taught for several years. Married Chester A. Carkoski in 1937 in Omaha NE. The lived from 1937 to 1960 in Hartington Nebraska where Mr. Carkoski was coach and superintendent. In 1960 they moved to Mankato. They had one daughter Sue Ann and a son Charles Peter Carkoski.
