Sarah was the daughter of Jonathan Conner and Mary Jane Aduddell Conner. Sarah was never married. Obituary: The Burwell Tribune Thursday, August 18, 1955 Sarah Priscilla Conner Sarah Priscilla Conner, daughter of Johnathan and Mary Jane Conner, was born October 30,1857, in Monroe County, Ohio, and departed this life at Burwell, Nebraska, on August 10th, 1955 having reached the age of 97, 9 months and 11 days. Her childhood was spent in Ohio, and in 1888 she with her parents, three brothers, sister, and two nephews, and two nieces, came to Garfield County, where she had since resided continuosly. She took a homestead northeast of Burwell, where she lived until 1920, when she, her brother Richard, and sister Jane, moved to Burwell, where she had lived since. She was converted when a child and remained a true Christan until the end. She was a long time member of the Methodist church. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Richard, Joesph, Benjamin, and Stephen, and her only sister Jane. She leaves to mourn her passing her one brother George of Burwell; two nephews, Johnathan and Thomas, whom she helped raise, and a large number of neices and nephews, and many friends, by whom she will greatly missed. There is no death, the stars go down to rise upon some fairer shore and safe in Heaven's jeweled crown they shine forever more." Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church in Burwell, August 13th, at 2:00 P. M. The Rev. A. J. Hindmand in charge The songs, '' The Old Rugged Cross'' ''The Beautiful Garden of Prayer'' and ''Asleep in Jesus'' were sung. Pallbearers were Clair Bebee, Clarence White, Dermot Erington, Alfred Craichy, Charles Hopkins and Harry Williams. Those from out-of-town attending were Mrs. Walter Key, Tuthill, S. D.: Mrs. Robert Dittrich, Ceresco, Nebr.: Mrs. Lester Owen, Grand Island, Nebr.; Mrs. Ida Steffen, Grand Island, Nebr.
