Bio

Augusta "Gussie" Sciba was born August 28, 1923 in Sweet Home, Texas to Florian and Julia (Kutac) Petru. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Sugar Land, the K.J.Z.T - St. Bernadette Society, #120 and the Catholic Daughters Court St. Theresa of Lisieux #2211. Gussie passed away January 24, 2012 in Sugar Land. She is preceded in death by her husband, Steve; sons, Steve J Sciba and Jerry P Sciba ; and parents, Florian and Julia Petru. Gussie is survived by son, Kenneth and wife, Sally Sciba; daughters, Judy Sciba, Ann Marie and husband, Fred Wicker and Annette and husband, Buddy Harr; daughters-in-law, Bonnie Sciba and Pamela Sciba; sisters, Viola Muelker, Louise Bronikowski and Florence Schmidt; twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Fred Wicker II, Ken Sciba, Jr., Jeff Sciba, Jeremy Harr, Clint Sciba and Chris Sciba. For those wishing, memorials in Gussie's name may be made to the American Heart Association , 10060 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, Texas 77054. Words of condolence may be left for the Sciba family at www.davisgreenlawnfh.com. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 A.M., Saturday, January 28, 2012 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Sugar Land. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., with rosary at 7 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2012 at the church.
